Your reputation
Your reputation reflects what you contribute to the community. The more you give, the easier it is to receive. Here we explain step by step what adds points, what takes points off, and what happens to your place on the list when donors choose who to give to.
How to earn points
Taking part is what builds your reputation. There are three ways to add points, and giving always counts the most.
When points go down
It only happens in one situation: committing to pick up an item and not showing up. When someone sets something aside for you and you don't go, they're left waiting. If it happens again without a handoff in between, a few more points come off each time.
If it happens again before you complete a handoff, a little more comes off each time.
A completed handoff resets the counter. When you give or receive again and the handoff is confirmed, you start fresh. If you don't show up next time, you lose 10 points —same as the first time—, not more until you complete another handoff.
What happens if you don't give
Regálalo works because people give and receive. If you only ask for a long time and never give anything, gradually donors see you less when they choose who to deliver to.
When a donor looks at who requested their item, you're still there, but lower down. People who also give to the community appear ahead of you.
If two months pass and you still haven't given anything, your request stops appearing on donors' lists when they choose a recipient.
A single donation brings you back right away. As soon as you give something, you appear normally to donors again, no matter how long you hadn't given anything.
"No lo vendo, lo regalo."
Give what you don't need and your reputation will take care of you.
